Edit Video Without Uploading It - OpenScene
Open a folder, drop clips on a timeline, export with your local FFmpeg. Tell the agent beside the timeline what to do and it cuts, trims and exports.
Footage is generally personal. OpenScene edits it without sending it anywhere.
Open a folder as a project, put clips on the timeline, and export an MP4 with the FFmpeg on your own machine.
You can just say what you want
The Edit Agent sits beside the timeline. Type "cut the first three seconds" and it reads the timeline and does it. It can add and trim clips, generate voice or video, and start an export. Anything that changes the project asks first.
Connect only the models you want. A local Ollama needs no account; cloud providers connect one API key at a time. With none connected, the editor still works.
Use it when
- You're working with files you'd rather not upload
- Saying what you want is faster than doing it by hand
- You need to trim and export a short clip quickly
Where it runs
- Desktop: installers for macOS, Windows and Linux, which update themselves once installed
- Mobile: iOS and Android apps sharing the same editing core
Mobile is free, supported by a banner and an interstitial shown only after an export finishes successfully. Desktop has no ads. The code is MIT-licensed.
